Rolf Ekroth’s AW25 collection is a deeply personal exploration of endurance, Nordic winters, and
devotion to the sun. Inspired by the collection’s themes and intricate designs, ELEVEN Australia
Hair Director Melvin Royce Lane led the team in creating hair looks that merge practicality with
creativity, reflecting the collection’s mix of textures, zig-zag cuts, and sculptural silhouettes.

To achieve this, precision sectioning and product layering were key techniques.
Each model’s hair was approached individually, with styles adapted to suit different
lengths and textures while maintaining the integrity of the overall aesthetic.

FOR SHORT HAIR:

Sculptural designs such as wet, frozen peaks and spikes paid homage to the harsh northern winters.
These bold, structured looks were achieved using ELEVEN Australia SLICK HOLD STYLING POMADE and
EXTRA HOLD STYLING CLAY to emphasize strong silhouettes and create playful, unexpected shapes.

FOR LONGER HAIR:

Various techniques were applied to mirror Rolf Ekroth’s craftsmanship and overarching theme.
Braiding and twisting methods were used away from and flat to the scalp, forming plaited ponytails
that were intricate, detailed, and practical—a reflection of the bead weaving and handcrafted
elements present in the collection. The hair was also parted in a Zigzag and ‘E’ design, a nod to
Ekroth’s signature cuts and patterns. A swept fringe symbolized the wet and windy conditions of
Nordic winters, while a bun with a fanned effect paid tribute to the sun worshippers depicted in the show.

For these styles, ELEVEN Australia I WANT BODY VOLUME FOAM was applied from roots to ends
for structure and hold. Depending on the variation, SLICK HOLD STYLING POMADE provided definition
and control, SMOOTH & SHINE ANTI-FRIZZ SERUM and MAKE ME SHINE SPRAY GLOSS delivered shine
and a wet-look effect, while GIVE ME HOLD FLEXIBLE HAIRSPRAY ensured lasting hold.

FOR TEXTURED AND CURLY HAIR:

Inspired by Rolf’s vision of a cold weather run, this look embraced a more undone, slightly dishevelled
texture. Natural curl patterns were defined using ELEVEN Australia KEEP MY CURL DEFINING CREAM, while I WANT
BODY VOLUME FOAM and SEA SALT TEXTURE SPRAY maintained volume and enhanced natural movement.

LOOK 1. WAVE FRINGE WITH 3 STRAND BRAID PONY STEP BY STEP

1. Start with clean, damp hair or lightly mist dry hair. Apply MIRACLE HAIR TREATMENT as a foundation product.
2. Apply I WANT BODY VOLUME FOAM evenly throughout to create a structure and give control.
3. Use a WIDE TOOTH COMB to create a definite & strong side part.
4. Section out the front portion of hair that will form the sculpted wave, clipping it away for later.
5. Smooth the remaining hair into a mid ponytail below the crown and secure it tightly with an elastic.
6. Unclip the front section and apply SLICK HOLD STYLING POMADE, then mold it into soft, structured waves using a fine-tooth comb and fingers, securing the curves with sectioning clips.
7. Where the wave meets the ponytail, tuck and pin the ends discreetly under the elastic.
8. Split the ponytail into two equal sections and create a 3 strand braid.
9. Repeat this onto the other section.
10. Set the front wave by using a setting net and a diffuser, then remove the clips carefully, refining the shape with a tail comb if needed.
11. For extra shine apply SMOOTH & SHINE ANTI FRIZZ SERUM lightly with fingertips. Then finish with MAKE ME SHINE SPRAY GLOSS all over.
    
    
    
    
    

LOOK 2. ZIG ZAG PARTING & FANNED BUN STEP BY STEP

1. Start with clean, damp hair or lightly mist dry hair. Apply MIRACLE HAIR TREATMENT as a foundation product.
2. Apply I WANT BODY VOLUME FOAM evenly throughout the hair to create a structure and give control.
3. Using a tail comb, create a straight parting at the hairline.
4. Move the comb diagonally in one direction, then reverse diagonally to form a zigzag pattern.
5. Continue the zigzag parting until you reach the crown, ensuring symmetry.
6. Comb both sections flat against the scalp, smoothing with SLICK HOLD STYLING POMADE.
7. Gather all the hair into a sleek, high ponytail at the crown of the head and secure with an elastic.
8. Twist the ponytail tightly from the base to the ends.
9. Wrap the twisted ponytail around the base, forming a structured bun, and secure it with pins, leaving the ends out for a fanned effect.
10. Apply GIVE ME HOLD FLEXIBLE HAIRSPRAY to set the shape and for hold.
